workity work work

I was supposed to be able to leave like, 24 minutes ago. But where is my replacement co-worker? I have no clue. So here I sit, basically getting paid to check email and post on LJ. There may be some confusion because last week I asked him to come in 45 minutes early so that I could go to a really cool lecture by Father Justin who is digitizing super old books at Saint Catherine's monastery in Mt. Sinai, Egypt. Perhaps there was an uncommunicated understanding that I would sub for him for 45 minutes the following week? I am not sure. In any case, am not really working so am not terribly bitter that am still here. Also, I would have had to come in and make up an hours worth of time so if I am here until 6pm then I won't have to be here tomorrow.

But still, where IS he? Hope that he is here by 6pm. Otherwise will become angry.
